Government support available

Funeral Payment (Social Fund)

Up to £1,000 for funeral costs if you're on qualifying benefits:

  • Income Support

  • Pension Credit

  • Council Tax Reduction

Bereavement Support Payment

For surviving spouses and civil partners:

  • Lump sum: £3,500 (or £2,500 without dependent children)
